"Syed Zafar Ahmad had a successful tenure in State Bank of Indore – an Associate of State Bank of India – having joined as a Probationary Officer in the year 1972. With around three and a half decades of experiences in varied areas – ranging from heading the Personnel Administration to Vigilance departments, and Branch Manager of Metropolitan branches to Regional Manager of a region comprising of almost half of Madhya Pradesh, he retired as an Assistant General Manager in 2006. He was also in the Board of Bank's Regional Rural Banks
He is a voracious reader and a prolific writer. He won prizes from NIBM, Pune for three consecutive years for all-India case study writing competition during his tenure as Faculty in State Bank Staff College, Hyderabad.
Zafar hails from a small village from Orissa, and had his education in Calcutta. He holds a post-graduate degree in Commerce from Calcutta University. He is based at Hyderabad and presently engaged in consultancy and free-lance journalism. He can be contacted through szahmad2001@gmail.com
